How do I know where to start?

My grandmother was an amazing cook, baker, gardener. Part of her heritage was to be the best hostess possible, always checking to see that everyone was enjoying the lovely meal she had so carefully prepared. She taught me a lot about food. When cooking and baking, she would often realize that she didn’t have exactly what it took to finish the recipe. So she would improvise and find something else that was even more delicious. That’s what made it almost impossible to replicate her recipes. I often heard, “Well, I followed the recipe, but I didn’t have this so I added that instead.” She showed me that a recipe is just an idea and not an instruction manual. She slowly taught me fundamental ideas to help me be adventurous, fast, and efficient in the kitchen. Now, I want to pass that along to you. This website can help ignite your creativity to explore food in a way that you never thought possible.

Do you find it difficult to make healthy meals? Do you find yourself out of ideas for what to make?

When your day has already been demanding, cooking can be the last thing on your mind. You find yourself resorting to fast food, ordering pizza, or microwaving a frozen dinner. Soon you realize, you haven’t made a home cooked meal in weeks – not to mention one that is good for you. You might have the idea that healthy food is slow, bland, and complicated. The good news is, home cooked healthy meals don’t have to be any of those things. And I want to teach you how. This website is designed to take the scary out and put the yummy in!
